Domain Registration Agreement

This Domain Registration Agreement applies when you register, transfer, renew or manage a domain name through Orbi Hosting. We act as a reseller of accredited registrars; your registration is also subject to the rules of the relevant registry and registrar, and (where applicable) to ICANN and Nominet policies.

1. Registrant responsibilities

• You must provide and maintain accurate, up-to-date registrant contact details. Inaccurate details may lead to suspension or cancellation of the domain by the registry or registrar.
• You are responsible for renewing your domain on time. Domains that are not renewed may be suspended, deleted or made available for others to register.
• You must not register or use a domain in a way that infringes the rights of others or breaches our Acceptable Use Policy.

2. Registry and registrar terms

• .uk domains are subject to the terms and policies of Nominet, the .uk registry, including its registration and dispute-resolution rules.
• gTLDs (such as .com, .net and .org) are subject to ICANN policies, including the Registrant Rights and Responsibilities and the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP).
• Your registration is also subject to the terms of the upstream registrar through which we place the registration.

3. Fees and renewals

Domain fees are charged in advance for the registration period selected. To reduce the risk of losing a domain, domains renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date. Registry price changes may be passed on to you. Registration, renewal and transfer fees are generally non-refundable once the action has been completed with the registry.

4. Transfers

Transfers in and out are subject to registry rules, which may include lock periods and authorisation codes. We will not unreasonably prevent a valid transfer away, but transfers may be refused where required by registry policy (for example during a 60-day lock after registration or a prior transfer).

5. Disputes

Domain disputes (for example over trademarks) are handled under the applicable registry dispute-resolution policy (such as the UDRP or Nominet's DRS). We may be required to act on decisions made under those policies or by a competent court.

6. Suspension and cancellation

A domain may be suspended or cancelled where required by the registry or registrar, for non-payment, for inaccurate details, or for breach of policy.
