This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains your cancellation rights and how refunds work for Services from Orbi Hosting. It forms part of our Terms of Service and does not affect your statutory rights.
1. Cancelling a Service
You can cancel a recurring Service at any time from your account or by contacting [Company Email]. Cancellation stops future renewals; unless stated otherwise, the Service remains available until the end of the period you have already paid for, and we do not provide pro-rata refunds for unused time once a period has started.
2. Consumer cancellation right (14-day cooling-off)
If you are a consumer in the UK, you generally have 14 days from the date of purchase to cancel a service contract for a refund under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Important exceptions apply:
- If you asked us to begin the Service during the cooling-off period, we may charge for what you have used up to the point you cancel.
- Once a digital service has been fully performed with your consent, or a one-off digital product has been supplied, the right to cancel may be lost.
- Domain names, SSL certificates and other third-party products are generally non-refundable once registered, renewed or issued, because they are activated immediately with a third party and cannot be undone. This is treated as a service you agreed to begin immediately, so the cooling-off right does not apply to them.
3. How to request a refund
To request a refund, contact [Company Email] with your account details and the invoice or order in question. Approved refunds are made to your original payment method, normally within 14 days.
4. Chargebacks
Please contact us first if you have a billing concern — we can usually resolve it quickly. Raising a chargeback without contacting us may lead to suspension of the affected Services while the dispute is investigated.
5. Exceptional circumstances
Even where a refund is not required, we may offer one (or account credit) at our discretion, for example where a Service could not be delivered.
6. Contact
Questions about refunds and cancellations can be sent to [Company Email].
